Robyn Miles took first place in the sports photo category for a photo of Jimmy Siemers as he flipped his way to victory in the trick-skiing competition at the Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Competition at Callaway Gardens.
The newspaper also took first-place honors in editorial writing and lifestyle coverage.
Writer Sherri Brown took second in education coverage and third in feature writing.
Writer Trey Wood won second in feature writing, while sports editor Kevin Eckleberry was third in sports column.
The newspaper was second in headline writing, and third in layout and design.
The awards, for work done in 2009, were presented at the association’s annual convention at Jekyll Island. LaGrange Daily News competed against other daily newspapers with circulations of 8,000 to 14,999.
