Ms. Heard, a native of Troup County, was born August 26, 1949, and was the daughter of Susie Mae Heard and the late Curtis McFarland. She was a 1969 graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School and joined the Wehadkee Baptist Church at an early age.
She is survived by her mother, Susie Mae Heard; one daughter, Angelica Heard; three sons: Glentonio Heard, Marcus Heard, all of LaGrange; Johna-than Heard, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Camryn Heard and Tykeyra Heard, all of LaGrange; sister, Virginia Woods, LaGrange; brothers, Larry Heard, Henry (Dorothy) Heard, Robert (Betty) Heard, Jimmy Heard, Tommy Heard, all of LaGrange, Willie James (Ann) Heard, Lanett, Ala.; special cousin, Peggy Norvell, LaGrange; many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Wehadkee Baptist Church in the Abbottsford community. The Rev. Otis Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her mother, Susie Mae Heard at 349 Abbottsford Road.
