The child told the man to leave the house while they were playing. The child then made a remark about the man’s 3-year-old son, and the man became angry. He called the woman into the room and started to choke her. The woman vomited from the choking, causing the man to get off her and slap her on the face after she told him to leave.
A battery warrant was issued for the man.

Power outage
Lightning hit a power pole near West Georgia Medical Center about 4:45 a.m. today, causing at least 500 homes and businesses to lose electricity.
LaGrange electric superintendent Billy Whitten said power was restored to most customers within an hour, but Hospice LaGrange had to wait until about 8:30 a.m. He said the facility had problems with its backup generator and was in the dark for about an hour.
The lightning strike didn’t affect the hospital, but knocked out power at LaGrange Academy, the city’s water filter plant, and nearly all homes on Country Club Road, parts of Vernon Street and Willowcrest subdivision, among other places. The traffic light at Vernon Street and Forrest Avenue was out, as was one at Vernon Road and Jenkins Street.
