A man set pictures of a woman’s daughter on fire after an argument.
Police said the man told the woman he was going to burn the pictures because he wanted the woman to be at home when she wasn’t.
When the woman arrived at the residence, she found the pictures, picture frames and a photo binder smoldering in the lawn. The photos were of her daughter, including when she was a baby.
A warrant was placed on the man for second-degree criminal damage to property.
Daughter kicks windshield
A woman’s daughter kicked and cracked the windshield of her mother’s moving car near the Summit station at 320 Commerce Ave.
The woman told officers her daughter was uncontrollable. En route to West Georgia Medical Center, the daughter kicked the windshield, causing it to crack near the top.
An ambulance arrived and took the daughter to the hospital.
Damage
n A vandal carved curse words into a car in the 100 block of Wynnwood Drive. Damage was estimated at $500.
n A hole was cut in a window on the side of Ladybuggs at 1681 Vernon Road, causing about $400 damage.
n A metal door was damaged inside Callaway Stadium at 801 Dallas St. Damage was estimated at $150.
Thefts, burglaries
n A homemade trailer with a riding lawnmower on the back was stolen from the 300 block of Broome Street. Items were valued at $3,200.
n Tattooing supplies, tools and electronics were stolen from a tattoo shop in the 2000 block of West Point Road. Items were valued at $1,452. A business next door was also burglarized, missing several pieces of jewelry, sunglasses and a pocketbook, all valued at $550.
n A stove valued at $800 was stolen from the kitchen of a residence in the 1000 block of Colquitt Street.
n A Pioneer car stereo valued at $245 was stolen from a vehicle in the first block of Curran Street. The vehicle’s sliding rear window was also damaged.
n A Motorola ROKR cell phone valued at $180 was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Laurel Lane.
n A JVC car stereo valued at $150 was stolen from a vehicle at Manning Transmission at 1 Swain Ave.
n The headlight lens to a Nissan Sentra was stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Juniper Street.
Wreck
A motorcyclist was treated at West Georgia Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle outside Burger King on Lafayette Parkway.
Police said Jacoby Johnson, 26, of Manchester pulled out of the Racetrac station at 1517 Lafayette Parkway on a Kawasaki ZX600 when Checolma Jenkins, 30, of Habersham Drive pulled in front of him in a Ford Fusion while leaving Burger King.
Johnson was knocked off his motorcycle and suffered minor injuries.
Jenkins was cited for failure to yield.
