The Republican ballot includes the party nomination for governor between Nathan Deal and Karen Handel, attorney general between Sam Olens and Preston W. Smith, insurance commissioner between Ralph T. Hudgens and Maria Sheffield, and public service commissioner between John Douglas and Tim Echols .
The Democratic ballot includes only the party nomination for secretary of state between Gail Buckner and Georganna Sinkfield .
People who voted in the July 20 primary have to stick with the same party. Eligible voters who didn’t take part in the primary can choose either ballot.
