Mrs. Tucker, was born on March 10, 1928 to the late Mollie Lou Dunlap and Gus Dunlap. She was a faithful member of the Canaan Baptist Church, where she served on the Mothers’ Board.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, a loving and devoted daughter, Shirley Miller (George) Bell, LaGrange; a devoted god-son, Johnny (Katie) Boyd, Chattanooga, TN; eight loving grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Sharon Williams, Lakisha Hudson, Abby Hudson, Shawanda Miller, Linda Miller, Carlos Miller, and Edward Miller, all of LaGrange; six great-grandchildren, Dytaveious Hudson, JaKayla Hudson, Sabrina Williams, Hezekiah Hudson, Isaiah Hudson, Devontae Williams, and Jemond Miller; one sister-in-law, Annie Mae Dunlap, Atlanta, GA; a loving caretaker, Mrs. Sylvia Sellers, LaGrange; special friends, Mrs. Maxine Smith, Mrs. Doris Pittman, Mrs. Cheryl Wortham, Mrs. Betty Dallas, and Mrs. Ann Hill; a very special and devoted Pastor, Rev. Michael Stevenson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Tucker; son, Charles Miller; brother, John L. Dunlap; grandson Zeko Miller; sisters, Mary Dunlap, Johnnie Mae Brown, and Lizzia Mae Jackson; special friend, Sam Heard.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at their home at 808 Truitt Avenue.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
