Two people said a neighbor poured a liquid down two kittens’ throats and carry them across the street.

LaGrange police said one of the onlookers went to check on the kittens and found them convulsing with foam coming from their mouths.

An officer found one of the kittens sitting very still but alive. It could not move, had lost bowel function and was covered with ants. It was taken to the Animal Shelter.

Wreck

Brothers charged after street fight

Two brothers took a fight from their residence into the street and both were arrested.

Police said one of the men came home and started an argument with his brother about their unmarried sister being pregnant. The two started fighting and carried the fight from their house into their driveway and into the street.

A witness tried to stop the fight, and both brothers began to fight him before he stopped and waited for officers to arrive.

One of the men was taken to West Georgia Medical Center. He became irate, snatched his IV out of his arm and signed himself out during his treatment.

Both were charged with disorderly conduct.

Woman’s feet

run over

A woman’s feet were run over after an argument with her child’s father in the Walmart parking lot at 803 New Franklin Road.

Police said the man was helping the woman move, and she asked him to meet her in the parking lot to get some food from the back of his truck. An argument ensued, and the woman climbed in the bed of the truck, kicking at the toolbox and back window.

The man got in to drive away, and the woman opened the door and continued arguing. He closed the door and drove off while the woman tried to jump into the bed of the truck, which ran over her feet.

The woman said he did it on purpose, but the man said he didn’t know he had done it.

I think its outrageous that people can be so cruel to helpless animals..I worked as animal control once, and before that I worked for the humane society..And some of the things I have seen will always haunt me..I think they should have a more strict penality for animal abbuse. When people start putting bob wire around dogs necks as a leash, its time to throw the book at these idiots. If you do not like animals just simply stay clear of them instead people gets a kick out of hurting them for their own pleasure. We all have to chip in and help the ones who cannot help themselves..This makes me furious to see them get mistreated..
