LaGrange police said one of the onlookers went to check on the kittens and found them convulsing with foam coming from their mouths.
An officer found one of the kittens sitting very still but alive. It could not move, had lost bowel function and was covered with ants. It was taken to the Animal Shelter.
Wreck
A Chevrolet Blazer struck a utility pole during a three-vehicle accident Wednesday morning at Hamilton and Davis roads. One person was airlifted to a hospital, but names and other details were not immediately available.
Brothers charged after street fight
Two brothers took a fight from their residence into the street and both were arrested.
Police said one of the men came home and started an argument with his brother about their unmarried sister being pregnant. The two started fighting and carried the fight from their house into their driveway and into the street.
A witness tried to stop the fight, and both brothers began to fight him before he stopped and waited for officers to arrive.
One of the men was taken to West Georgia Medical Center. He became irate, snatched his IV out of his arm and signed himself out during his treatment.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct.
Woman’s feet
run over
A woman’s feet were run over after an argument with her child’s father in the Walmart parking lot at 803 New Franklin Road.
Police said the man was helping the woman move, and she asked him to meet her in the parking lot to get some food from the back of his truck. An argument ensued, and the woman climbed in the bed of the truck, kicking at the toolbox and back window.
The man got in to drive away, and the woman opened the door and continued arguing. He closed the door and drove off while the woman tried to jump into the bed of the truck, which ran over her feet.
The woman said he did it on purpose, but the man said he didn’t know he had done it.
Damage
n A group of juveniles broke out a vehicle’s passenger-side window and threw a trash can at the front door of the Daniel Street Food Mart at 512 Daniel St., causing about $150 damage.
n Vandals scratched various curse words into two vehicles, poured syrup and sugar inside the vehicles, and poured sugar into the gas tank of one of the vehicles in the 400 block of Alford Street. Damage was estimated at more than $500.
Burglary
Two Mirraco bicycles and a bicycle with chrome brake handles were stolen from Golden’s Bike Shop at 101 Harwell Ave. The bicycles were valued at $800.
