Troup County sheriff’s deputies said undercover operations led to a search of American Beauty Supply on West Point Road. Agents had played video gambling machines, gained points and were paid in cash, officers said.
Commercial video gambling machines are illegal in Georgia whether they pay out money, tickets or pay slips.
Deputies seized eight machines and about $2,500 from American Beauty Supply, charging Kwan Hyung Lee, 28, of Columbus with commercial gambling. No beauty products were found in the store.
