Funeral services for Lorene Foster, age 76, of LaGrange, Georgia, formerly of Roanoke, will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 1:00 pm from St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. L. B. Houston and Rev. Jeffrey Rosser officiating with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Peace and Goodwill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 19th. Ms. Foster will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 12 noon on Saturday.

Ms. Foster died Monday, October 15, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Survivors include four daughters, Chris Bledsoe, Vickie Brown, Bridgett Foster, all of Roanoke and Liz Jones (Arthur) of LaGrange, Ga.; one son, Timothy Foster of Roanoke; 16 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Anesha Foster of LaGrange, Ga.; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leon Hill, William Treadwell, Willie Holley, Chris Treadwell, Dallas McFarland and George Truitt.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Foster was born November 3, 1935, daughter of George and Mary Lizzie Houston Foster. She was a member of Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church and retired from Stephanie Fashions. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Foster, Jr.; four sons, Tyrone, Freddie, James (Big Ben) and Reginald Foster; and one grandson, Jermicah (Rat).
