The Red Cross is readied to supply relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Volunteers and supplies are mobilized and shelters have been opened in 7 states.
With Hurricane Sandy making its way up the east coast, the American Red Cross is ready for action. So far over 1,000 volunteers have been deployed, 170 response vehicles carrying 230,000 shelf-stable meals and thousands of other supplies including cots, blankets and personal items have been mobilized.
Georgia is also doing its part by sending volunteers and supplies to affected areas.
