Mr. Clinton Mackenzie Burdette Sr., age 86, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed Friday morning, October 26th, at the Gilmer Nursing Home. He graduated from the Vermont Acadamy a United States Naval veteran, serving aboard the U.S.S. New York (battleship), during World War II. Mr. Burdette was employed in sales at several different companies and locations, ran several different resturants, and was chamber of commerce president for a year in Dania, FL. Leaving FL. he built a meeting hall/dining foom and dormitory in Hell’ s Hollow, just outside Blue Ridge, Ga. where he farmed and ran a resturant out of the dining room.

He is survived by his children and in-law: anne parker burdette of blue ridge, cynthia blackwell burdette of Roanoke, Virginia, son Clinton M. Burdette Jr. of White Plains junction, Vermont, grandchildren Candice M. Nix of Ellijay, Georgia, Jeremy and Elizabeth Burdette, and three great grandchildren.

A military memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.M. Sunday, November 11th, at the logan funeral home pavilion, with Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating, and military rites by the north georgia honor guard. Interment will take place at sea in the south pacific by the United States Navy.
