Joyce A. Bird, 75, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Bird was born January 30, 1937 in Swampscott, MA. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Bird worked for K-Mart in LaGrange for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Smith Robleski and her husband, Howard J. Bird, Sr.

Survivors include her children, Kathleen and David Edmondson of LaGrange, Howard Bird, Jr. of LaGrange, and Franklin and Karen Bird of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Brittany Edmondson, Amber Bird and Jeremiah Bird, all of LaGrange, Mitchell Bird of Aiken, SC and Bethany Bird of Kentucky; and a wonderful family friend, Marie Richardson.

The family will gather at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Patrick Scully officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
