Christmas season has officially started on the campus of LaGrange College.
The campus celebrated “Christmas on the Hill” Monday evening with lots of activities and events for the community to enjoy.
There was fake snow for children to play in, live music and karaoke, various games and crafts, live reindeer and the children’s favorite- a picture with Santa on his sleigh.
“Santa was my grandson’s favorite part. He loves Santa.” said LaGrange grandparent Betsy Fowler.
Fowler commended the college for its efforts to engage the community.
“This is a wonderful event. It’s great that the fraternities and sororities are out doing things as well.” said Fowler.
This year’s Christmas celebration had a special focus on engaging and helping the community .
“We wanted to have the student body and community as a whole come together to celebrate Christmas, while also helping a good cause.” said Allison Weeks, LaGrange student and volunteer for the event.
A donation of $5 or canned food products was suggested for the public to bring to help benefit the LaGrange Personal Aid Interfaith Food Closet and Harmony House.
