Ms. Ruth Llewelyn Conyers Edgerton, 96, of LaGrange passed away on Tuesday, January 08, 2013 at Hospice LaGrange.

Ms. Edgerton (Ms. Ruth) was born and raised in Bermuda, daughter of the late Martha (Llewelyn) and Russell Conyers. She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and lived in Charleston, SC where she was a member of 1st Scots Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Ms. Edgerton was a registered nurse and retired from American Red Cross.

Ms. Edgerton moved to LaGrange, GA four years ago and attended Loyd Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Esther Koger, and one brother, Ernest Conyers.

Survivors include one sister, Rosanne Casey Charlottesville, VA; two daughters, Suzanne McGuigan of Charleston, SC and Sandra (Trent) Mann of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Rev. Josiah “Joey” (Peggy) Mazzell, Jr. of Pelion, SC, Jonathan Blane (Tammy) Mazzell of Ladson, SC, Patrick (Maggie) McGuigan of Charleston, SC, Brenna “Holly” Davidson of LaGrange, GA, and Joshua Mann of Columbus, GA; seven great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Loyd Presbyterian Church with Reverend Rix Threadgill and Reverend Josiah Mazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The gathering of family and friends will be this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Loyd Presbyterian Church, LaGrange, GA, 1st Scots Presbyterian Church, Charleston, SC, or Hospice LaGrange in memory of Ms. Ruth Edgerton.
