Mr. Johnnie B. Owens of 3209B 18th Avenue in Valley passed away Saturday.

Mr. Owens, a native of LaFayette, Alabama, was born December 1, 1938 and was the son of Lorenzo Owens Sr. and Willie B. Holloway Owens. He was retired from Interface Flooring after 40 years of service and was a devoted member and Deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Jeanell Owens; son, Terrence (Letitia) Owens; daughter, Lyntoya Owens; grandchildren, God-children: Jay-Man and Hasan Green; grandchildren: Tsia, T.J., Keion, Tyjah, Ke’a, Jalessa, Victor, Carmine, Terrence Jr., and Infinity; three sisters: Geraldine (Robert) Harvest, Lorene (English) Caldwell, Freddie Mae Jackson, all of Panama City, FL; five brothers: Lorenzo (Gwendolyn) Owens Jr., Lynn Haven, FL; Willie James(Gwen) Owens, Panama City, FL; Michael (Phillip) Williams, Neptune, NJ; Ernest (Tommie) Peace Jr., Niles, MI; Jessie (Wanda Faye) Owens, Panama City, FL; a special cousin, Annie Dell (Anthony) Ergle; many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard L. Owens, Leon Owens, and David L. Owens.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, East 10th Street in West Point. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in the Marseilles Cemetery.
