Ruby “Joyce” Williamson Harlin, 63, of Chattanooga, TN, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Harlin was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Hogansville, to the late Jack and Annie Mae Turner Williamson. She graduated from Columbus College with an Associate’s Degree as a Para-Legal and was employed as an Administrative Assistant with the River City Group/Judgement Index. She was a member of East Brainerd Church of Christ, Scenic City Women’s Network and EWI of Chattanooga.
Survivors include her loving husband, Sam Hugh Harlin; children, Timothy R. (Stephanie) Owings, Gurley, AL and Jeffrey S. (Lori) Owings, Wetumpka, AL; step-children, Gregg (Deborah) Harlin, Lawrenceville, Dana H. (Tom) Burleson, Auburn and Stuart A. (Paige) Harlin, Chattanooga; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Martha Hale, Hogansville, Willie Todd, Lexington, KY, Shirley Williamson, Newnan, Becky Ott (Jimmy) Carden, Hogansville, Ellen (Sammy) Hubbard, Hogansville, and Bobbie (Jeffrey) Williams, Portal; sister in-law, Evelyn Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Amos Williamson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Williams will officiate, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday.
