Mr. Willie Floyd Ransom of LaGrange passed away Monday at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Ransom, a native of Grantville, was born August 6, 1941, and was the son of the late Willie Joe and Sara Rhodes Ransom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette M. Ransom; daughter, Mechell Ransom; brothers: Robert Lee Ransom and Arthur Lee Ransom; and sister, Gunnell Rhodes.

Survivors include one son, Willie Floyd (Stephanie) Ransom, Jr.; three daughters: Deborah Ransom Herring, Nicole C. Watkins (Robert) Blockton, and Greta L. Watkins; sister, Ruby Mae Daniel; grandchildren: Elaine Ransom, Larissa Kay Ransom, Breona La’Shae Johnson, Alandre Jamel Herring, Aquarius N. Watkins, Quaveion S. Watkins, Tykal K. Jones, Tydaja Y. Jones, Jones Twins, Antrevious D. Watkins, Braylen T. Staples, MaKayla C. Woodard; special niece, Carmen Y. Hill; special friends, Grady Harris and Jim Parks; many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00PM at the Confidence Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Roderick Cox will officiate. Burial will be in the Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Greta L. Watkins at 140 North Davis Road, Apt. 314.
