Charnita Davidson Kanyi passed away Friday at UAB.

She was born September 22, 1980, in West Point, GA to Ms. Annie Davidson and Mr. Fred Davidson. Charnita graduated from Troup High School in Lagrange, GA., and attended Tuskegee University where she obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Biology.

Up until her time of death, Charnita was Assistant to Director for the IBS Ph.D. program at Tuskegee University.

On October 14, 2012, God called Peter and Charnita to be full-time pastors of Jubilee Christian Church of Atlanta.

She is survived by her husband Peter Kanyi; son, Benaiah; mother, Annie Davidson; father, Fred Davidson; brothers and sisters, Renita and Allen Cullwell, Fredrick Davidson, Chantilly Davidson, Darquavius Davidson, Dario Davidson and Danielle Davidson; nieces, Bethany and Cadence; nephew, Derrick; and a host of family, friends and loved ones.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point with Dr. W. T. Edmondson presiding. Burial will follow in Marseillies Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her mother, Ms. Annie Davidson at 400 East 10th Street, West Point.
