Specialist Arandall Ladarrion Shears aka “Lil Ran” passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida.

“Lil Ran”, was born to the parentage of Mr. Randall Shears and the late Mrs. Tammature Truitt Shears on January 18, 1992.

Arandall was a member of the Troup County graduating class of 2010. He joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church as a child and was baptized by Dr. W.T.Edmondson. He was also an active member of the military unit where he served until he was called home.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mrs. Faye Shears; and sister, Talya Shears.

Survivors include his father, Randall Shears, West Point, GA., one sister, Akayesha Shears, Opelika, AL; grandparents, Roosevelt Shears, West Point, GA, George Truitt, Chattanooga, TN; Leon and Ruby T. Hodnett, Lanett, AL; great grandmother, Nettie L. Dawson, Panama City, FL; five uncles, Donta (Angela) Shears, Valley, AL; Brook (Nicole) Cooper, West Point, GA; Gabriel (Jacinta) Truitt, Lanett, AL; Phillip Huguley, West Point, GA; Joseph (Ned) Hicks, West Point, GA; two aunts, Wanda LaFaye Truitt, Lanett, AL; Angela (John) Reed, Marietta, GA; two great aunts, Louise Fitzpatrick, Columbus, GA; Annie Joe Williams, Macon, GA; Special Aunts: Catherine Andrews, Gloria Ware, Louise Truitt, Peggy Pollard, Annie Ridgeway; special uncles, Reginald (Chelsea) Larkin, Atlanta, GA; Ellsworth Larkin, Panama City, FL; two nieces, Azorria Barnett and Makayla Shears, both of Opelika, AL; and a host of specail family and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. W. T. Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery with full Military Honors.

The family will be at their home at 1109 Avenue K, West Point.
