Miranda “Randy” Hurston of LaGrange passed away Friday.
Miranda, daughter of Jo Ann Hurston and George Tucker, was born April 28, 1975, in LaGrange. She attended LaGrange High School and was employed at Yeyance Technologies Inc. of Hogansville. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, JoAnn Hurston; her father, George Tucker; her father whom she loved as a father, Wilbur Truitt; two daughters, ShaQuavious “Tionna” Harrison and Jayvianna “Jay” Hurston; sisters: Kimberly Hurston, Chanda (Dion) Thames, Stacy (Booker) Laye, Cynthia Tucker, Shelia Tucker, Veronica Tucker and Keisha (Timothy) Bledsoe; brothers: Kelvin Hurston, Terrance Hurston, George Tucker Jr., Delaney Truitt, James Truitt and Marshez Truitt; aunts: Mary (Larry) Hall, Bertha Brewer, Carrie Brooks, Rose Gates; uncle, Jimmy Hurston Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving son, Fred Tridarrius Harrison Jr.; her only grandson, Qua’Mauri Harrison; aunt, Fannie Mae Slaughter; and an uncle, Jewel Slaughter; grandmother, Azella Slaughter and grandfather, Jimmie Hurston.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 1:00PM at the New Community Church, South Davis Road. Rev. Charles Martin and Rev. Chalton Askew will officiate. Burial will be in the Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at their home at 308 East Mulberry Street.
