Mrs. Charlie Mae Ector McLaughlin of 3 Sirrene Street passed away Saturday at West Georgia Health.
Mrs. McLaughlin, a native LaGrange, was born August 30, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Thelma Strong Ector. She was a 1976 graduate of LaGrange High School. She was employed at Hanes Hosiery and LaGrange Moulding. She was a devoted member of Saint Paul Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Nolan Christopher LeVar Ector, LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Kenyatta Ector, LaGrange; brother, Jimmy L. Ector, LaGrange; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Ector, Frankie Wortham, LaGrange; sisters: JoAnne Thomas and Janice Howard, LaGrange; Margaret Arline, Waterbury, CT; godson, Edward L. (Aneidra) McFarland, LaGrange; uncle, John (Anna) Vinson, Ypsilanti, MI; great aunt, Mary Strickland, Westland, MI; grandchildren: Noliyanna A’misha Ector, Christian LeVar Ector, Darius JaQuan Marshall, LaGrange; nephew: Miles Jimeel Ector; niece, Jordan McKenzie Ector, LaGrange; cousins: Rosa Thornton and Mary Rush, LaGrange; special friends: Linda (Charles) Laye, Franklin; Lois Reese, LaGrange; Ora Ross, LaGrange; many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy McLaughlin; brother, Bennie N. Strong; grandmother, Adel Vinson; and sister, Peggy Strong.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 2:00PM at the Saint Paul Baptist Church on Union Street. Rev. Edward Lane and Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
