It’s tryout time.

Next week at the Troup County soccer complex, the Troup Titans Soccer Club will hold tryouts for the fall season.

The tryouts will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. each day.

Anyone interested in playing for the Titans or finding out more about the club is encouraged to come out.

Players trying out should have a soccer ball and water, and they need to wear shin guards.

There are seven teams in the Titans’ organization.

On the boys’ side, there is a U-9 team, a U-10 team, a U-11 team, a U-12 team, a U-13 team and a U-14 team.

For the girls, there is a U-12 team.

The Titans finished the spring season by participating in the Georgia Express Festival that was held in May.

All seven of the Titans’ teams participated in the tournament, and two of them ended up finishing first in their division.

The U-11 boys’ team claimed a championship, while the girls’ U-12 team also soared to a title.

For the players who make one of the teams, fall practice will get under way the second week of August, with the games starting later that month.
