A driver told LaGrange Police Department officers that an employee of a repossession company followed him from Vernon Road to the Tall Pines Apartments on Turner Street about 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. The driver said the employee was attempting to repossess the 2002 Mitsubishi Galant he was driving, but according to the driver, the car was not his, so he refused to get out of the vehicle. Another employee with repo company appeared and began jumping on the car, according to the report, punching it with his fists and kicked both back passenger side doors. The driver told police the man then threw a lit cigarette at his face, which hit him just beneath the left eye, causing a red welt. Police were investigating. Hit and run LPD officers responded to a reported hit and run that took place in the intersection of Roanoke Road and Vernon Street just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. The driver told police she was on Roanoke Road and had the green light to travel across Vernon Street when a car turned left in front of her, causing a collision, then took off. According to the report, the driver described the other vehicle as either a yellow Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro. Officers found debris from the collision in the intersection. They were investigating the accident. Man reports tires stolen off truck A man told police that someone raised his 2007 Toyota Tundra truck with jacks around 2 a.m. Wednesday and stole four new Yokohama tires from it while it was parked at a business in the 200 block of Westside Court. The driver valued the tires at $700.
