WACO — Tickets are now available for the West Georgia Technical College Foundation fundraising event Black Tie and Boots. Due to the confirmed number of corporate sponsorships, the number of tickets available to the public is limited. This year’s concert will be headlined by country superstar Tracy Lawrence. Lawrence is known for songs “Paint Me A Birmingham,” “Time Marches On,” “Alibis,” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” His recent albums include “Headlights, Taillights, and Radios,” and “Greatest Hits: Evolution.” Past country artists who have performed at the annual concerts include Gary Allan, Little Big Town, Montgomery Gentry and last year’s performer Wynonna and the Big Noise. While Black Tie and Boots is known for bringing country artists to West Georgia, its impact on the community goes deeper than entertainment. All of the proceeds raised from the concert support scholarships for students. “The West Georgia Technical College Foundation is an essential part of our College,” said West Georgia Technical College President Steve G. Daniel. “It is because of the Foundation and its support that we are able to make a difference in the lives of our students, faculty and staff and in our communities.” The concert includes a buffet dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. Attendees are treated to valet parking, a professional photographer, and a walk on the red carpet. Corporate sponsorships which include concert tickets and admission to a ‘meet and greet’ reception with Tracy Lawrence are available for purchase now. Tickets are on sale to the public at $125 per person or $950 per table of eight.
