New Horizon Theatre, 411 W. 8th St. in downtown West Point, hosts “Downtown Sounds,” featuring well-known songs from the 1950s to present day, Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 and all seats are general admission. The concert features nine singers and six band members, many of whom were cast members in the musical “Smokey Joe’s Cafe.” Money raised will go toward New Horizon’s Cliff Glover Drama Scholarship program handed out annually to high school seniors.
