Saturday

Events: A garage sale is 8 a.m.–1 p.m. to benefit God’s Bread Basket, 202 Oak St. in Hogansville. Items have been collected from local families. Proceeds go toward the food and spiritual-assistance ministry for families in the Hogansville area.

Market on Main is in the parking lot at East Depot and Main streets, next to Carmike Cinemas LaGrange 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. Local growers and vendors offer produce, plants, various food and handmade items for sale.

Loyd Presbyterian Church at 550 Upper Glass Bridge Road hosts a farmers market across from the church 8-11 a.m. Fresh vegetables and homemade products; vendors welcome at no charge with those items. 706-594-4951

Guardian Riding Club hosts Bikers for Babies, a fundraiser ride to benefit First Choice Women’s Center, at The Guardian Barn, 23 Gordon Road in LaGrange. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the ride begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $25 to ride and $6 for lunch. Motorcycles, cruisers and four-wheel-drive vehicles welcome. 706-884-3833

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Confidence Missionary Baptist Church, 705 Colquitt St., hosts its Annual Fun Day in the parking area behind the church.

Churches: Confidence Missionary Baptist Church, 705 Colquitt St., hosts its homecoming at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth Bailey of White Oak Grove in Newnan will be guest speaker.

Rocky Mount Baptist Church celebrates its annual Men and Women’s Day program at 2 p.m. with guest speakers the Rev. James Woods and Leete Hill United Methodist Church.

True Love Missionary Baptist Church hosts its six-year church anniversary at 2:30 p.m. with special guest pastor J.C. Fryer and Pine Hill Baptist of Phenix City, Ala. Dinner served.

The Solomon Grove Missionary Baptist Church Mother Board observes its 32nd anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Minister RoseMary Smith, associate pastor of Welcome Baptist Church, is guest speaker.

Living By Faith Worship Center, 1898 Greenville Road in LaGrange, celebrates Youth Day at 3 p.m. Pastor Lonnie Walls and Smyrna Baptist Church are guests.

Legacy Museum on Main hosts West Point Lake at 40 Years, a collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper through Sept. 10, exploring the history of the lake and its impact on life in the county. The exhibit Our County Collects runs through Aug. 15 at LaGrange Art Museum, 112 Lafayette Parkway. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 706-882-3267.
