LaGRANGE — The Lafayette Society for Performing Arts on Tuesday announced the creation of a new front office position to assist in overseeing the financial management of the organization.

Kerri Vice has been hired as the first full-time business manager for LSPA, which is the umbrella organization for the Lafayette Dance Academy, the Lafayette Ballet Company, the Lafayette Theatre Company, the Lafayette Theatre Academy, the Azalea Storytelling Festival, and – joining in fall – the Young Singers of West Georgia.

Vice joins the organization after more than five years as the food services manager for First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. In her new role, she will be responsible for providing oversight of all business, payroll and front office management functions for the organization, including its eight affiliate organizations.

A 1990 graduate of Auburn University’s school of mechanical engineering, Vice comes to LSPA with a wealth of experience in the field of finance management and customer service, said LSPA Executive Director Jennifer Shook. A native of Alabama, Vice came to LaGrange in 1992 with Milliken & Company where she served as a technical marketing specialist, a human resources education coordinator and a process engineer until 2003. She later started and ran her own business, Table Toppers Catering Co., from 2003 to 2011.

“Kerri brings an expertise to the LSPA front business office that is critical to the future success of the organization,” Shook said. “We are thrilled to have Kerri joining our team, and we look forward to reorganizing our management functions to better meet the needs of those we serve.”

Vice assumed her new role with LSPA on Tuesday. She is married to Coleman Vice, co-owner and operator of Eagle 102.3. Together they have a daughter.
