A woman was arrested after slashing her boyfriend with a knife because he was talking to her father on the phone, according to the LaGrange Police Department.

Officers responded to the home in the 100 block of West Cannon Street around 9 p.m. Saturday. They found a man with a cut to his arm, a police report said.

The victim told police his girlfriend became angry that he used her car. He said he felt the need to call her father to calm her down. While speaking on the phone, he stated to officers he saw his girlfriend make a slashing motion and noticed he was bleeding.

The girlfriend confessed to police she cut her boyfriend with a small key chain knife that was later found by officers in the front seat of her vehicle.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Woman allegedly points gun at cab driver

After making obscene hand gestures to one another, a cab driver stated that a woman pulled out a gun a pointed it at him then took off.

It happened Sunday around 5 p.m. in the 1000 block of Hogansville Road.

The cab driver told officers he was picking up a customer from that location when a female coming into the complex gave him the middle finger. The driver became angry and in turn gave her the middle finger. He then told officers the woman then parked her jeep, jumped out of the SUV, pulled out a pistol and pointed it at him while he sat in the car.

The driver said he followed the jeep to Lafayette Parkway and saw it get on the exit 18 on ramp to Interstate 85 north.

Police were able to find who the car was registered to, but unable to locate the vehicle in Troup County.
