What has happened in our country? Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are no longer running congress, but nothing has changed.

Longtime Republican representatives and senators have failed to change any of the left’s policies. In fact, there has been little if any distinction between the Republican and the Democrat parties.

The Republican establishment has basically put its tail between its legs and run for the hills. After all, they don’t want to make the Democrat administration angry.

This reminds me of the Obama administration’s approach to dealing with Iran: “Perhaps if we are really nice to them, they will see the error of their ways and change!” The Republican establishment is too busy criticizing true conservatives to attack the malfeasance of the progressive left.

This attitude is responsible for the long chain of events that has gotten our nation to the dreadful condition it is in currently. The Republican Party has sold out to the practice of accommodation.

I could go on, but it is clear enough that the Republican establishment is every bit as responsible for this deplorable state of affairs as is the progressive movement. The difference is that they rally around and support every progressive group while Republicans are busy criticizing each other and especially real conservatives.
