Bethlehem Temple Church of LaGrange, 397 Whitesville St., hosts its 36th anniversary 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, on Saturday at 10 a.m. during Bible class and noon during midday service, and Sunday during 11 a.m. service.

Saturday

Events: Market on Main is in the parking lot at East Depot and Main streets, next to Carmike Cinemas LaGrange 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. Local growers and vendors offer produce, plants, various food and handmade items for sale.

Guardians Riding Club and Guardians Jeep Club host the third annual Tommy Brooks Ride for motorcycles and Jeeps starting 3 p.m. from the Guardians Barn, 23 Gordon Road in LaGrange. Registration is 1 p.m.; cost is $20 per vehicle. Raffles, entertainment and food after the ride. Funds go toward Christmas presents for youth. The Active Life wellness center, 140 Ragland St., hosts dancing 7–10 p.m. with Jimmy Smith and New River Band. Cost is $5 per person. Adults of all ages welcome.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Churches: Bowen East District, 1319 Magnolia Road Lanett, Ala., hosts Ministry’s Wives Special Effort Program at 11 a.m. with guest speaker pastor Lonnie Walls.

Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based recovery program, meets at 3 p.m. at Hogansville First Baptist Church.

Churches: Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 6225 Hopewell Church Road in Pine Mountain, celebrates its annual Homecoming at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Landrum bringing the message.

Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 515 Hillcrest Road near Hogansville, observes its annual Homecoming at 2 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. J.C. Strickland and Mount Zion and New Macedonia Baptist Church.

Canaan Baptist Church, 5930 Mooty Bridge Road in LaGrange, hosts Homecoming at 2 p.m. with guest pastor the Rev. C.W. Howell of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Hamilton.

Callaway Baptist Church hosts discipleship training, youth and children’s classes at 5 p.m.

Uplifting Your Faith Ministries, 104 Youngs Mill Road, hosts spiritual counseling/healing at 5 p.m. with Bishop R.L. Darden.

Monday

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 11 a.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

Meetings: The West Georgia Health Board of Trustees meets at 5:15 p.m. in the Board Room of West Georgia Medical Center.

The Troup County Board of Education meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center at 100 N. Davis Road.

The Troup County Democratic Party committee meets at 6 p.m. at Roger’s BBQ in Hogansville, 1863 E. Main St.

Legacy Museum on Main hosts West Point Lake at 40 Years, a collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper through Sept. 10, exploring the history of the lake and its impact on life in the county. The exhibit Our County Collects runs through Sunday at LaGrange Art Museum, 112 Lafayette Parkway. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 706-882-3267.
