Events: A Sloppy Pigs Barbecue sack lunch to benefit CASA, court-appointed special advocates, for children is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pick up will be at 201 Ridley Ave., across from LaGrange City Hall. Cost is $8 per plate, which contains two barbecue sandwiches, chips and a brownie. Tickets available at the CASA office, 118 Ridley Ave., which may be contacted at 706-298-3634 or 706-845-8243.

The Active Life senior center at 140 Ragland St. offers oil painting classes at noon for all adults 55 and older. 706-883-1681

Events: Market on Main is in the parking lot at East Depot and Main streets, next to Carmike Cinemas LaGrange 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. Local growers and vendors offer produce, plants, various food and handmade items for sale.

Legacy Museum on Main hosts West Point Lake at 40 Years, a collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper through Sept. 10, exploring the history of the lake and its impact on life in the county.
