LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department said a 16-year-old boy was in critical condition this morning after being shot multiple times in the torso in the 200 block of Addie Street.

According to investigators, LPD officers heard gunshots fired from the area around 11 p.m. Monday. When police arrived on scene, they located the victim and called for medical responders, states a police department press release.

The report said the teen was flown by helicopter to an Atlanta hospital for treatment.

Investigators said they later determined another 16-year-old male was responsible for the shooting. He was arrested around 3:30 a.m. today on Jarboe Street, stated LPD officials.
