Digital marketing boot camp set

LaGRANGE — The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center will bring their Digital Marketing Boot Camp to the Callaway Conference Center on Oct. 14. The seminar will help local business owners learn the best techniques for tapping into the mobile marketplace.

The class will cost $49 and will include a full day of interactive sessions and a lunch. The Boot Camp, sponsored by the Small Business committee of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, will be 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the conference center, 220 Fort Drive in LaGrange.

The Digital Marketing Boot Camp is designed for small business owners to help them optimize their website, get their business online securely and how to use photos and video to promote their products and educate their customers.

Speakers for the event are Drew Tonsmeire, area director for the UGA SBDC at Kennesaw State University; Kyle Hensel, area director for the UGA SBDC in Savannah, and Debbie Finney, area director for the UGA SBDC in Albany. They will cover everything necessary for a business owner to quickly and easily move into online integration.

Topics to be covered include how to use Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram strategically, and how to get your business at the top of search engines.
