LaGRANGE — The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce hosts a workshop Monday aimed at helping attendees identify their strengths and use them to improve their careers.

Bill Graham, a communications professional, will present “Start with talent; finish with strength,” Gallup’s StrengthsFinder workshop. The seminar is 8 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Monday in the Emory-Clark Holder room at the Chamber of Commerce. Coffee and a light breakfast will be served.

Attendees may learn how their dominant, natural talents can help them excel and begin a path to better performance and higher engagement, according to a press release from the chamber.

Chamber officials cited the program being used for companies like Ritz-Carlton, Facebook, Harley Davidson and M&M Mars, and it “is ideal for people who want a positive, focused approach to developing a strengths-based way of working and living,” according to the release.

Graham has offered this program at New York University and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management among others, states the local chamber’s release. He is expected to deliver the program for HSBC Bank in London and Hong Kong in November.

The program fee includes an access code to complete the Gallup StrengthsFinder Assessment online and receive an “Insight Report” to bring to the workshop. Those who sign up also will get a free download of the StrengthsFinder 2.0 e-book and can earn three professional development hours.

Cost is $50 for chamber members, $25 for HYPE members and $75 for prospective chamber members; seats are limited. Anyone who wants to register may go to www.lagrangechamber.com, call 706-884-8671 or email letisha@lagrangechamber.com.
