Martha Pirkle, director of alumni and community relations for LaGrange College, said the event was a huge success and brought in alumni as well as local residents and people from out of town attended the event. ‘It exceeded my expectations,’ she said.

The couple met while attending LaGrange College in the early 1980s and are now both retired educators; Steve was principal at LaGrange High School and Caryn was a first grade teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School.
