LaGRANGE — Firefighters with the LaGrange Fire Department are giving back to the community they serve and protect Saturday, Oct. 17, at LaGrange Mall.

The department will host their second annual Citizen’s Day event from noon to 4 p.m.

LFD Lt. Chris Taylor said local firefighters will be on hand to greet the crowd, plus pass on informational fire safety tips with adults and with children.

Taylor said the event is the department’s way of saying thank you to the community for their continuous support.

There will be several activities taking place including:

• Fire truck rides.

• Blood pressure screenings.

• Fire safety house tours.

• Gift basket drawing giveaways.
