You may not realize it, but we are living in the good old days!

I see people wishing their lives away — can’t wait till the cows come home. I hear people say, “It will be better when I get my house paid for, just 19 more years.”

Friends, learn to live life every day as if it was your last. What if you only had an hour to live, whom would you call? What would you tell them? Do not take for granted you have another 20 years, start calling some of those people. You may help them more than it helps you.

I reached out to an old college friend yesterday that I had not talked to in several months, and it hit me like a hammer when she said her husband had just been told his memory loss was going to get a lot worst. They have both worked their entire life, just retired and started building their dream home in the Alabama mountains and lightning struck.

Make the most of every day with the people that mean the most to you in your life. Your best days are in your future!

Sometimes what someone’s parents or grandparents did is the reason you are blessed.

I know my career has been blessed by some of the good things my parents did. I was working with a painter the other day and told him to go by Gordy’s Hardware and get all the paint supplies.

As he started to say, “You could save a buck at one of the big stores,” I said, “His Dad hauled hundreds of kids to football and baseball games when we were kids. Some guys got baseball gloves they could not afford to buy themselves. I can never repay that act of kindness that he did for all those young boys, but I can buy paint from my lifelong friend that happens to be his son.”

I dare you to make a difference in other people’s lives and look back at your family tree, there may be many blessings that come your way from a kind mom or dad with a big heart. They are there, my friend, I PROMISE.
