LaGRANGE — Resident and professional musician Barry Waldrep will be joined by fellow band members as they assemble to pay tribute to the country music duo Joey + Rory in a candlelight prayer vigil Thursday evening at LaFayette Square.

Waldrep and his band members toured with Joey and Rory Feek a few years ago. They will be uniting with fans of the duo from across the country 8:30 p.m. Thursday as they come together to show support for the family as Joey continues her battle with cancer.

Waldrep will be joined by Stephanie Taylor, Mitchell Brown and special guests Dana Romanello and Michael Stockton to perform a few songs of Joey + Rory’s. Local pastor Cade Farris of First Baptist Church and pastor Anthony Hovey of Shoal Creek Baptist will provide a message and prayer.

Everyone is invited to attend this event. Waldrep welcomes anyone attending to bring their own candle to be a part of the prayer vigil.
