LaGRANGE —Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department are searching for a homeowner who allegedly left a dog in deplorable conditions.

Officers with LaGrange Animal Services said they responded to a complaint of possible animal cruelty at a house in the 200 block of Wesley Way about 4:25 p.m. Thursday.

The officers said they tried to find the homeowner, identified as Pagon Noles, whose age was unavailable, with no luck. According to the report, neighbors told officers they had not seen Noles in awhile.

LaGrange officers arrived and, after securing a search warrant, discovered a chihuahua inside the home “living in deplorable conditions,” according to a press release.

Detectives said the dog was taken to a veterinarian to be examined.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing and Noles may be charged with animal cruelty.
