KENNESAW – They’re back in the final four.

For the third consecutive season, the Lafayette Christian School Cougars have reached the semifinals of the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association state playoffs, and they’ll be on the road to face Praise Academy next week.

In Friday’s first-round playoff game, the Cougars (8-3) didn’t face a whole lot of opposition against Shiloh Hills.

After falling behind 6-0 early, the Cougars ran off 61 consecutive points to finish the first half.

With a running clock, the second half went quickly, and Lafayette Christian won 61-6.

Jonathan Parham scored on a fumble return for the Cougars, and Jemi Reed and Eli Shepherd each had interception returns for touchdown.

Shepherd added two touchdown runs on offense, and Reed and Landon Whitley also had scoring runs.
