Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department are investigating a robbery by force between a woman and the father of her children Sunday about 10:23 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Revis Street.

The woman told police the man was inside the residence when he suddenly grabbed her hair and pulled some of it out. According to the victim, he then reached inside her bra and took $20, and at one point threw water in their 1-year-old child’s face.

The woman said she was able to break free from the man and run out the back door. He knocked her down again, but two men who were also outside the house stopped him, allowing her to run inside a neighbor’s home and call police, she stated.

LPD detectives attempted to interview the victim further, but she refused to speak to anyone else and denied officers permission to take pictures of her injuries, the police report stated.

Police said if there is enough evidence and the woman decides to press charges, the man could be charged with robbery by force, a felony.

• A man returned to his home in the 100 block of Parker Street on Sunday to find his Samsung Galaxy S-4 cell phone, plus a book bag that had camouflage clothing, animal calls and a hunting knife inside it all missing. The total value was $500.

The man was also missing a flat-screen TV, but LaGrange officers who just finishing from responding to another burglary call in the area found the TV at the other location. The officers returned it to the rightful owner.

• A woman returned to her home in the 500 block of Everette Street on Sunday and found someone had broken into the residence and stole a Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3. The total value was $700.

An eyewitness told the homeowner she saw two males walking towards Jackson Street carrying a flat-screen TV with socks on their hands. They dropped the TV near a garbage can.

LaGrange police canvassed the area looking for the males and the stolen items. Officers found the TV, but were unable to locate any suspects.
