Truck strikes bridge

A tractor trailer carrying 43,000 pounds of freight struck a railroad bridge on Miller Street about 2 p.m. Wednesday. No one was injured. Officer William Jones of LaGrange police said the driver would not be cited and the bridge appeared to be undamaged. Jones had authorities contact CSX railway, which owns the 12-foot, 11-inch tall bridge, and a wrecking company was called to remove the damaged truck trailer.
