One man found himself in trouble with his mother and police after he allegedly gave his teenage brother marijuana and allowed him to get high.

The mother reported her older son Tuesday morning at LaGrange Police Department on Haralson Street. She brought the son with her and told officers she had an argument with both her sons earlier in the day. She said when they returned home later in the evening, both appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

According to the police report, officers observed the teen, who they said had bloodshot eyes he could barely keep open and a slow speech pattern. When an officer asked him if he had smoked marijuana recently, the teen replied “yes” and said he got it from his older brother.

Officers relocated to the home where they found the older brother who reportedly exhibited the same symptoms as his teenage brother.

The man eventually admitted to police he bought the marijuana and gave it to his little brother to consume, the report states.

Officers arrested the older brother and charged him with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Burglary

A woman told LaGrange police someone broke into her home in the 100 block of West Crovat Street between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

According to police, the suspect kicked in the back door.

The woman said items stolen included a 60-inch RCA LED television, a Verizon Ellipsis 8 tablet, a RCA tablet, a LG G2 cell phone, a Dell laptop computer and a Toshiba laptop computer.

The total value of the items was estimated at $2,815.

Entering auto

• A man reported someone stole his Ruger LCP .380 pistol out of his 2002 Chevy 2500. He told police he believed it happened on Sunday while his vehicle was parked at 408 Broad St. at the Broad Street Church of Christ between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

• A woman called LaGrange police Tuesday about 5:30 a.m. after discovering someone broke into her 2003 GMC Yukon in the 900 block of Williams Street. She told officers a green pouch was missing containing her bank card, child support card, two savings cards, library card, credit card and driver’s license. She stated the center console was also open and the items from inside had been removed.
