Allen and Leigh Summers of Valley, Alabama, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynsay Leigh Summers of Valley, to Matthew Garrett Oleson of LaGrange, son of Greg and Debbie Oleson of LaGrange.

They are set to wed Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rupert and Jane Summers, Carolyn Shaw and the late James Shaw, all of Valley. She is a 2012 graduate of Valley High School and is set to graduate from Point University on Friday with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.

Lynsay is currently an intern at Batson-Cook Company in West Point.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Malcolm Oleson, the late Martha Oleson, the late Doris Brumfield and the late Everett McNeill. He is a 2007 graduate of Troup High School and 2011 graduate of LaGrange College.

Matthew is a marketing consultant with American Solutions for Business in LaGrange.
