Thefts

• A supervisor at BWAY plastics manufacturer plant at 1603 Orchard Hill Road reported that a man came to the business about 2 a.m. Wednesday and loaded pallets valued at a total $125 into his truck. The employee said he confronted the alleged thief, who claimed he had been told by another employee that he could take the pallets, but wouldn’t name him. The alleged thief left with the pallets. The supervisor asked police to issue the man a trespass warning from the property.

• An employee of Lafayette Parkway Mini Storage, 1385 Lafayette Parkway, reported that someone took a $2,500 tow-dolly on Nov. 26. The employee said the business was closed that day, but someone left a note saying the person was given permission to use the dolly, but it has not been returned.

• A Troup County woman reported that a thief took an Apple Mac Book Pro laptop valued at $3,500, floral design duffel bag valued at $1, miscellaneous office supplies valued at $1 and an Apple computer mouse valued at $1 from her son’s locked truck while it was parked at LongHorn Steakhouse, 1518 Lafayette Parkway, between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting officer noted a puncture on the truck’s passenger door under the handle.
