Dumpsters on hand for holiday trash

LaGRANGE — The city sanitation department is providing extra dumpsters throughout LaGrange to help residents dispose of holiday garbage.

More than a dozen dumpsters have been placed at various locations, including:

• Hollis Hand Elementary School on Country Club Road.

• Granger Park.

• Park Hill Drive off New Franklin Road at the Happy Stop convenience store.

• Hogansville Road at Department of Family and Children Services building.

• Colquitt Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Court.

• Union Street at Calumet Park.

• Wilkes Street at the former Unity Elementary School.

• Boatwright Street at the baseball field.

• East Bacon Street behind PC Screen Printing.

• West Point Street at Dunson United Methodist Church.

• The intersection of Dix and Daniel streets.

• Brenda Boulevard.

• Butler Street at Whitesville Road.

• Ragland at Greenville Street.

There is no charge to use the dumpsters.

Additionally, curbside recycling sign up is underway and blue recycling containers are expected to be delivered to residents in January. To sign up for free curbside recycling, call 706-883-2023 or visit www.lagrangega.org.
