LaGRANGE — Keep Troup Beautiful hosts its annual Bring One For the Chipper event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to collect Christmas trees and electronics.

The event will be held at the recycling center at 530 S. Davis Road in LaGrange. Trees will be ground into mulch or people may pick them up for use as fish habitats, and electronics will be taken to be recycled for parts. Drop off sites also will be at the recycling centers in West Point, 1601 Stateline Road, and Hogansville, 2601 Mobley Bridge Road, and a dumpster will be in the Hogansville Police Department parking lot.

“KTB is known for promoting the three R’s — reduce, recycle and reuse,” states a press release issued by the group. “Right after Christmas is a great time to exercise the three R’s. … One year we received over 9,000 pounds of recyclable electronics”

Anyone who brings a recyclable item to the center will be entered in a drawing for three separate gift baskets supplied by KTB.
