LaGRANGE — A woman who allegedly stalked a Hogansville man for more than 13 years and broke the rules of her latest probation agreement in less than a month was back in a Troup County Superior Courtroom Monday morning.

The defendant, Christine Hargett, 66, also reportedly left a threatening message to the target of her affection and to Pete Skandalakis, district attorney of the Coweta Judicial Circuit.

“Your honor, she wrote a letter talking about hunting … and in it made it clear … she said, ‘I can shoot a gun,’” Senior Assistant District Attorney Lynda Caldwell read out loud in the courtroom. “She also left a message for (the victim) and Mr. Skandalakis back in 2007. It said, ‘I’ll cut your (expletive) off and put them down your throat.’”
