LaGRANGE — Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department continued to investigate three crime scenes early Monday morning after three people were shot just after midnight.

LaGrange Police Lt. Dale Strickland said the first incident occurred at a private party at a home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue.

According to a police report, officers originally responded to the residence for a fight in progress.

When police arrived on scene, they found three males suffering from gunshot wounds, stated the report.

Strickland said two of the victims were flown to hospitals in Columbus and Atlanta for their wounds.

The third victim was taken to West Georgia Medical Center, he stated.

All three males’ injuries were not life threatening, Strickland added.

According to Strickland, the gunfire continued an hour later.

A woman called police about 1 a.m. after she heard bullets hit her home in the 100 block of Belk Street, a news release states.

The homeowner told police she heard a car pull off, but did not see anything.

No one was hurt.

Strickland said an hour after that incident, officers responded to the 200 block of Heritage Road for another call of shots fired.

Two women told officers their cars and apartment were shot at by an unidentified person, a report stated.

The victims were not hurt in the incident.

Strickland said investigators believe all three crime scenes will be linked. He said it seemed the same weapon was used in each shooting.

Two of the males hurt in the incident are reportedly not cooperating, Strickland stated.

Investigators believe the shooting started after some sort of altercation, but detectives are still looking into a motive.
