It was over early, with the Cougars rolling to a 24-2 lead after the opening quarter, and by the half the score was 42-6.

“The press worked well and we were able to score a lot of points off the press,” Lafayette Christian head coach Jarred Pike said.

Marcus Mobley continued his stellar senior season with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Jemi Reed had a stellar all-around game with 10 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Josh Shepherd added five points and five rebounds, and Ross Clifton had eight points and six assists.

In Tuesday’s girls’ game, Lafayette Christian lost a close one, 55-50.
